AI Transparency
This site runs an AI assistant that answers questions about my professional background. This page documents what it is, what it does with your input, and how it is classified under Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (AI Act). The disclosures go beyond what is strictly required.
The System
| Purpose | Answering questions about professional background, skills, and projects |
| Model | Gemma 4 12B, open weights |
| Serving | Ollama on a single RTX 3060, my own hardware |
| Retrieval | Vector search over public website content (Qdrant) |
| Hosting | Self-hosted in Austria, no third-party AI provider involved |
| Roles | I act as both provider and deployer of this system |
Transparency
- You are interacting with an AI system. Responses are generated by a language model, not written by a person.
- Every response is marked as AI-generated in the chat interface.
- Consent first. The assistant stays inactive until you accept the privacy notice.
- The model is named. No hidden vendor, no undisclosed cloud API.
Risk Classification
The assistant is neither a prohibited practice under Art. 5 nor a high-risk system under Annex III. Only the transparency obligations of Art. 50 apply, and they are implemented as described above.
Limits
- Answers can be incomplete or wrong. Nothing on this site is legally binding.
- Retrieval is limited to content published on this website.
- The model has no access to private data, systems, or credentials.
What It Does Not Do
- No decisions about people: it does not evaluate, score, rank, or filter individuals.
- Not used for recruitment, credit scoring, or any comparable purpose.
- No biometric identification, no emotion recognition, no profiling.
- Your input is never used to train or fine-tune any model.
Human Oversight
I review the assistant’s behaviour and correct the underlying content when it answers incorrectly. For a binding answer, write to [email protected].
Data Protection
Prompts and responses are recorded on our own infrastructure to monitor answer quality. Email addresses, phone numbers and payment details are removed before a record is written, and records are deleted automatically after 90 days.
Details on the processing of your input, the legal basis, and your GDPR rights are in the Privacy Policy.
